In the Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City in May of last year, the IOF forced an 80-year-old Palestinian man to wear an explosive cord around his neck and walk ahead of them with his cane for 8 hours to search for booby traps in houses in Gaza. The elderly man and his wife told the IOF they were unable to evacuate for Khan Younis in the south because they couldn’t walk that far, but this didn’t stop the IOF thugs from using him as a human shield.
After his ordeal, the IOF ordered the man and his wife to walk towards the “humanitarian zone” in southern Gaza. After just 100 metres, another IOF battalion shot and killed them both, leaving their bodies in the street.
The IOF’s use of Palestinian civilians, including children, as human shields has been widely reported. An incident in June 2024, this time in the West Bank, is typical:
The barbaric practice is prohibited by International Law, but this doesn’t faze Israel or its western apologists and backers.
For years, Israel has accused Hamas of using Palestinians as human shields yet Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch found no evidence to support this. It’s classic projection. Israel is projecting its actions onto Hamas as a defence mechanism to avoid confronting its own guilt.
“Human rights lawyer” Keir Starmer’s Zionist funders have bought his acquiescence in Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians, despite his promise to “put human rights at the heart of foreign policy.” To this day, Starmer refuses to call the wholesale slaughter of Palestinians what it is - a genocide.
As for Scotland’s colonial ‘government,’ it has made the right noises but actions speak louder than words. Remember sleekit Angus Robertson’s meeting with the Israeli deputy ambassador last August? Only after this became public did the Scottish administration announce there would be no further meetings with the Zionist state.
I’m sorry, but that just isn’t good enough. If Scotland ever does take back its sovereignty from the avaricious and amoral British State, I hope it will demonstrate the courage to renounce such evil.
"If Scotland ever does take back its sovereignty from the avaricious and amoral British State, I hope it will demonstrate the courage to renounce such evil."
It will take courage for Scotland restores its full self-government so it follows that neither the likes of John Swinney nor Angus Robertson will have anything to do with that. It follows that they will not form any part of the government of a New Scotland.
In that happy event I would banish them, and those currently masquerading as Scotland's would be liberators and freedom-fighters, from this land.
There will be plenty of time after sovereignty is achieved to deal with the traitors.
