Starmer secretly traveled to Kyiv to sign a ‘100-year security and trade pact’ with a country that has been gutted by NATO’s proxy war with Russia. The way things are going, Ukraine won’t be there in 1 year let alone 100 years. The UK has already flung nearly £13bn into the Ukraine cesspit. What’s the man thinking?
While the UK is sinking like a stone, Starmer’s promising the Zelensky regime more military aide and has even floated the idea of stationing troops inside Ukraine to “oversee” a ceasefire agreement.
But feckless Sir Keir isn’t alone. The other European pygmies are also pushing to escalate the Ukraine war while their economies go down in flames. What’s going on here? Why is there so much irrationality?
Could it be the globalist Brussels and London kleptocrats are in full-blown panic mode because they see the handwriting on the wall with the incoming Trump administration? They’ve loyally supported the NATO proxy war against Russia for four years even though it has greatly harmed their own countries and destroyed Ukraine.
They stood by while the CIA blew up the Nordstream 1 pipeline, cutting Germany and Europe off from cheap Russian gas. They imposed economic sanctions on Russia, thinking that would bring down President Putin and weaken the Russian economy when both are stronger than ever. Instead, the sanctions have boomeranged, weakening Europe. They’ve stolen Russian assets, destroying any remaining credibility the western financial system had. And they’ve driven Russia and China closer together. Quel succès!
Trump can see that Project Ukraine has been a bloody disaster. This war belongs to senile Joe Biden and lying Tony Blinken and Trump has signalled he’s prepared to walk away, leaving Europe to pick up the pieces. And there’s no way the EU and the UK can meet Trump’s demand to spend 5% on defence. When the US pulls out of Ukraine, NATO collapses.
Trump wants to end the war and resume diplomacy with Russia, which the previous adminstration eschewed. The incoming Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, said before a senate confirmation panel in Washington:
“It should be the official position of the U.S. that this war [Ukraine] must be brought to an end.”
Trump recognises that the goal of the globalist neocon project, Project for the New American Century (PNAC), to impose American military and economic power everywhere, has has weakened and isolated the US. The global majority, increasingly coalescing within BRICS, hates America and its Middle East proxy, Israel.
Trump wants to use American power to carve out a sphere of influence around its own territory. He has acknowledged that Russia is entitled to its own sphere of influence and understands Russia’s security concerns about having NATO on its doorstep.
You know, a big part of the problem was Russia for many, many years, long before [Russian President, Vladimir] Putin said, you could never have Nato involved with Ukraine. Now they've said that's been like written in stone. Somewhere along the line [US President, Joe] Biden said no, they should be able to join Nato. Well, then Russia has somebody right on their doorstep and I could understand their feeling about that.
Trouble is, there’s no room for Europe in this new order, which is deeply alarming to European elites. That’s why Europe/UK is desperately trying to keep the US invested in Project Ukraine and therefore invested in Europe. When Trump walks away from Ukraine, he walks away from Europe, leaving it without its US protector. It loses its geostrategic relevance.
What Europe/UK should do is what the US intends to do - resume diplomacy with Russia. During the Cuban Missile Crisis and in the depths of the Cold War, the US and Russia were in constant dialog. It’s foolish in the extreme that Europe refuses to speak to its largest neighbour.
If talking resumes, so can trade. But if Europe/UK refuse to talk to Russia, then they condemn themselves to being an irrelevant peninsula on the edge of a resurgent Eurasian continent.
President Trump yet to re-enter the White Hoose and he has already ended two major wars. Well done Mr President. I put it down to his Scottish Celtic heritage and values.
Please now come and liberate your fellow Scots from domination by the Anglo Imperial Culture. Drain oor mankit sleekit slump tae.
Sick of all these old men waging wars, while little children starve and people are froced top live in tents, grrr! The war mongers need locking up all of them, The EU lot have lost the plot, and Putin is no peace loving guy, neither is Trump, who knows where the Trump/Putin alliance (?) is going to take us all, it all looks so messy from where I'm standing and it's all about money when push comes to shove, and energy resources etc of course. Starmer is the worst PM in a long time, and to think he is leader of the Labour party, dreadful for the UK on so many levels.
Thanks for the article Leah, have yet to watch more of your excellent work on Scottish independence at the Youtube Scotland channel...so much to keep up with and it's only mid January.
