To paraphrase: How many fighter-aircraft, missiles and tank-divisions does Rome possess? Had Pope Francis set-foot in Gaza of recent months, no army nor armaments would've been necessary (as Leah suggests), in order to make his unmistakable point to the world.
I have no faith or interest in religious organisations which think they can get involved in politics. I have doubts that this last pope and any before him, no matter what they say, have any effective input on world affairs regardless of what shape they take.
I read that he was blocked from getting into Gaza, I presume by Israelis, but whether that's true or not...the zios have a hold over the world, I have my theories as to what that is and why the world is cowering in acceptance of the heinous crimes being committed by them.
For the catholic church/organisation to have more than a billion followers is quite an achievment, and yet we have people starving, wars and killing are off the scale, so what good does it do other than salve the consciences of those who are standing by, as a neighbour of mine said when i asked what her churchy folk are saying about the genocide, 'we pray' she said. Not helping is it, was my response.
Religion and money, and power, it's all connected. Greed is winning and it's not going to end well even for the greedy. Sad really, especially for our young people and I have to say apologies should be made to all who fought, and suffered and died during the world wars especially WW2. Lives were lost families split apart like my father's was, his education ended at age of ten, (the 'British' army took over the school and threw the books into the bins, which broke my dad's heart) put out to work to support his family.
I have to say though re the pope, he did look pretty horrified at the sight of Vance...understandably.
Sad times indeed, we had such hopes for the 21st century, or did we?
