The most sickening thing I've seen in my 73 years, bairns singing happy birthday to the king of England as he opens two new food banks. The charity probably pays him rent for the buildings, disgusting,
Well said, Cathy. The reliance on charity in the UK is a sign that the government isn't doing its job. It has effectively outsourced this to charities. Rather than ensure people are paid enough to live on, regulate the monopolies who are profiteering, renationalise the nation's assets, build good social housing stock, make sure every young person can get a good education, fund the health service so people are healthy - these are the things that government should be doing and the people should be demanding they do so. That's why Scotland needs a governance system of decentralised direct democracy, so that people have the power to hold government to account and to change it if it's not meeting their fundamental needs.

So depressing and this is a Labour policy
