This is very important the cost of democracy is constant vigulance. These attacks on freedom of expression are just the thin edge of a wedge which if we don't resist we will get the wedge hammered further into our remaining freedom.

Thanks Leah.

I suspect a lot of people will however be too scared to speak up now and even report on what is happening to the people in Palestine, and no doubt Lebanon.

There's something very sinister about how things have developed in recent times, in suppressing freedom of speech in so called western democracies. There's a madness about this whole sh*tshow going on now, there are always wars and terrible oppression where innocent people are ultimatley the victims, but this is on another level and it's terrifying.

Thing is those in power who should be rejecting this 'war', seem terrified as well, but what would they be so scared about? It's MAD.

May peace break out and sanity be restored, lest things become even 'worse', to use a certain PM's word. ;-/

I have every sympathy, and support the outrage this article exposes ,BUT the profession of Journalism and reporting is supposed to be about holding power to account , as we have experienced in Scotland and the wider uk the established press are nothing more than presstitutes who have been compliant and supportive of the huge amount of lies and misinformation foisted on the public daily, most of

our supposed investigative journalists couldn't find their own backside with both hands

Our broadcast media is an INSULT to truth , we are having to rely more and more on individuals like yourself and others to supply the public with the truth which because of costs has a limited scope and effect

It is because journalists and reporters have become wage slave presstitutes to the big news corps and governments those entities feel enabled and untouchable when it comes to censuring the truth

Journalists and reporters are suffering from the old Niemöller prose, First they came for the socialists , and now there is no one left to speak for honest truthful journalists

One of the problems is the corporate owned media whose owners in turn control the politicians and governments. It’s the very definition of fascism.
