I knew about the changes they wish to make, and strongly disagree with both, but I had not realised that these are protected by our constition. Does this mean SG do not believe in the Claim of Right, and the Sovereignty of the Scottish people, and if so, how do we deal with this? In my experience, writing to SMPs, or our MPs makes no difference at all!
This was something Salvo was supposed to working on.... not sure they've done any follow up, however. If you're a Salvo member, Julia, you might ask Ian Lawson or Sara Salyers what they are doing about this.
Right now you can do one of three things but the objective should always be to put the government between a rock and a hard place. 1. Write to MSPs, 2. Find an MSP to launch a Private Member’s Bill, 3. Launch a Petition. Sooner or later the dam will break and the politicians will realise they need to partner with the People.
