All the more reason these should be stationed on the Thames.

Another excellent article Leah.

The sovereign Scottish people are being treated by Westminister as expendable, while our county's assets are stripped and our economy trashed.

We can't allow this to continue while we wait to get their authority to do something about it. We must start to fight against it now, no more delay, and we must make the Scottish Government meet all its responsibilities to the maximum of the powers that they have under this devolved system

How very worrying that nuclear leaks are being allowed at all, and SEPA have relaxed rules on that, how disgraceful to say the very least. I will contact them about this ASAP. I mean I worry when I see soapy bubbles in the local river, and take photos when it's very bad, but to be willingly allowing highly toxic nuclear watse to be dumped into Scottish lochs, jaw dropping.

I have a book, 'Standford's Harbour Guide, West Coast of Scotland, by Capt F S Campbell, 1973. 'The ideal yachting guide to the spectacular west coast of Scotland'. The maps are amazing so detailed and at Garlochhead is a submarine exercise area etc. I made some artworks based on some of the maps.

I looked very briefly at the SEPA 'leadership team' some people are ex council employees, one at least previous at Scottish police, and it led me to the Scottish space industry (claimed by the UK) there's an expo in December 2025, in Glasgow. The space tech is going to be used by police and emergecny services etc anyway here's a link if interested.

Features Alex Flucker of SEPA (previous at Ofgem).

Maybe the space tech could be used to record the dumping of horrendous life threatening, toxic waste into Scotland's lochs, by the government of the country next door.

Thank you, Hetty. Very useful link to the Alex Flucker interview. He moved from one toothless regulator, Ofgem, to another - SEPA.

I like your idea of suggesting they use space tech to monitor nuclear radioactivity in Scotland's waterways.

I tried to find a link to what I was reading a couple of weeks ago about SEPA being leaned on by MoD and Westminster to suppress radioactive data. I failed to find it, but came back to a TuS post and typical for the Prof and team has plenty of links.

Sepa also need a kick in the a**e telling them to be much more pro-active I. Their monitoring if sea water in lochs where there are Salmon farms. The current state of if many of these with dead and dying fish discarded, pollution of the surrounding are by the chemicals used to control sea lice etc are a disgrace to what was once a reputable industry, run locally by Scots who respected the environment. It is nowcontrolled by big business with maximising profit as the aim while destroying Scotlands reputation as a producer of high quality food and drink as well as our environment.

There is ls also the matter of many of our rivers where standards have fallen and testing is haphazard.
