One of the worst aspects of this (has to be plural; there is not just one which looms over all) is the neo-military nature of the response by the police/para-military which recalls the worst excesses of ruling juntas in South America. Yep it's truly terrifying. I have following this via Democracy Now on Youtube the best indy news service in the US imo. Amy Goodman presenter was theer in NY on the ground as Students were being kidnapped by security services in riot gear. Her co-host Jaun Gonzalez spoke yeatserday about his direct involvement in the protests in 1968, he is such a wonderful person and well worth watching what he has to say. I fear for democracy to say the very least, just who is pulling the strings I think we know and it's so dangerous to the US, though not just the US, to removal of human rights, and removal of freedom of speech. We really are through the looking glass it seems, and it's extremely worrying that such facism is taking hold around the globe. It's all bout protecting Netanyahu and his far right extremist government, it's about money and resources, and the people are collateral. There were zionists attacking peaceful protesters in NY yesterday, they were very violent.
