Today, June 6th, is the 80th anniversary of D-Day, the largest military operation in history. It should be a day to remember war’s devastating toll and recommit nations to work to avoid future global wars.
Instead, French president Macron is using the occasion to announce he’s sending military trainers to Ukraine. This was confirmed by the commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s armed forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, who said:
“I have already signed documents that will allow the first French instructors to visit our training centres soon and get acquainted with their infrastructure and staff.”
Macron will be accompanied by Voldomyr Zelensky, no longer the legitimate Ukrainian president, in Normandy today along with American President Joe Biden, who is not only funding the Ukraine proxy war against Russia but also a genocide in Gaza.
These western leaders are using the anniversary of an event that led to the end of one world war to push for another, this time with the nation they were allied with and that sacrificed the most - Russia. Russia, then the USSR, not only lost more people - over 27 million, a quarter of their entire population - but also destroyed or disabled an estimated 607 Axis divisions (10,000-15,000 troops in a division), over 6 million soldiers, far more than any other Allied power.
Ukraine has a Nazi problem. During WWII, large parts of western Ukraine collaborated with Nazi Germany. In September of last year, the Canadian Parliament gave two standing ovations to a Ukrainian war veteran from the 14th Grenadier Waffen Division of the SS, who, the Canadian Parliament speaker said, fought against the Russians.
The Ukrainian Azov Brigade was formed in 2014 and led by Andriy Biletsky who said it is Ukraine’s national purpose
“to lead the white races of the world in a final crusade against Semite-led Untermenschen [subhumans].”
Last week, Boris Johnson welcomed a delegation from the neo-Nazi Azov Brigade to the UK Parliament, praising them as “heroes. ” He was given an Azov banner showing the Wolfsangel symbol. This is the same Boris Johnson who the US sent to scupper the April 2022 peace agreement brokered in Istanbul between Ukraine and Russia. Former Israeli PM Bennett confirmed that the US blocked the deal.
The whole reason Russia went into Ukraine was because NATO explicitly intended to make Ukraine a member of the military alliance. Foreign Minister Lavrov told the US Ambassador William Burns back in 2008 that Russia would perceive this as a potential military threat and was the brightest of all red lines for the entire Russian political elite, not just Putin.
On May 31 the UK MOD tweeted (@DefenceHQ):
“Here’s the reality: NATO never agreed it wouldn’t expand and has been open to new members since it was founded in 1949. Its job is keeping its members safe.”
This is a lie. Declassified documents reveal that Gorbachev was assured by Baker, Bush, Genscher, Kohl, Gates, Mitterrand, Thatcher, Hurd, Major, and Woerner that NATO would not expand eastward. But it has, relentlessly.
The western war machine is now calling for authorising Ukraine to use long-range missiles deep inside Russia. Here’s the problem. The ATACMS missile system uses a GPS guidance system requiring specific information to be loaded into it that can only be done by an American. The data will be transmitted from data collection platforms such as satellites to centres inside Poland or Germany where it’s is collated and used to create a model against a specific target. It’s then transmitted using top secret communications channels to which Ukraine doesn’t have access and is then programmed into the missile guidance system. The only thing Ukraine does is push the button. The Americans do everything else and the Russians know it.
That means these NATO centres are legitimate military targets. It doesn’t matter if they’re in Warsaw, Berlin, Paris or London. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned:
“We do not rule out additional steps in the sphere of nuclear deterrence, because our command centres and the locations of our nuclear forces will be in range of American forward-based missiles.”
The west has lost its collective mind and is playing with nuclear fire because it thinks Russia is bluffing. It’s not. All the signals NATO is sending Russia indicate that an attack on the Russian homeland is imminent. How do you think Russian will respond? How would the US respond?
Are there any sane voices at all?
The difference between the West's "deep" financial institutions and hence governments and China is stark. China, as it appears to me and willing to be corrected invests in power generation, dams, infrastructure projects of road, rail and bridge, to give financial return into the future decades. The West invests in military armaments and conflict to extract their decades long investment return.
One invests in civic structures and development, the other invests in mechanisms to destroy civic structures.
A powerful piece, anger inducing, but powerful. It is made the more powerful with the inclusion of the links.
